The Pitch Place Farm Project

A modern staircase within a 400 year old property. The design is intentionally a stark contracst to many of the other materials and styles within the period, heriatage, farm house.

Laser cut stainless steel strings, invisibly fixed oak treads and 15mm thick clear toughened glass balaustrade are the contemporary materials that this feature staircase comprise. Once again, our hand carved oak handrail caps the glass balustrade.

A challenging but gratifying project, made all the more interesting by the discovery of a previously unknown well. Our Solidworks 3D modelling enabled our design department to reconfigure the stairs several times in order to miss the well and gain headroom in a deceptively restriced space.
