Commercial Staircase Projects
As companies are becoming increasingly conscious of their corporate image and presentation, the front of house staircase is becoming a major feature. Although commercial staircases are usually designed by the Architect or corporate Designer at planning stage our designers become involved with the more practical elements of the construction and installation, also adding our experience to the finer details. Although many commercial staircases incorporate the most expensive materials, striking designs can be created from the more economical materials.
The use of stainless steel, glass and hardwoods are the current trend for contemporary staircases. As the contactor for the feature staircases we are often requested to provide the service stairs, cat ladders, gates and railings.
The Honda Showroom Project
This commercial quality spiral is available in either 2200mm or 2500mm diameter, ascending clockwise and anticlockwise. The treads are recessed to receive inserts such as timber, stone, glass or carpet and a standard non slip nosing. An extensive range of balustrading variations is available, including radiused glass.
The Buildbase Project
This Nationwide Builder Merchants entrusted Demax to design, construct and install the staircases for each of their new branches.
The La Vina Project
We were commissioned to create very traditional wrought iron panels to be incorporated into these wooden staircases and balustrades for a national chain of Tapas bars.
The Hair Salon Project
A London hairdresser wished to expand to a larger premises. Demax was approached to present designs for a staircase to reach the 3.5m high mezzanine floor without encroaching on the first floor space. The design of our stairs acted as a divide between the reception area and the working area of the salon whilst taking up the very minimum of usable floor space.
The Autumn Foods Project
The remit was 'leave it to you - we just want something legal, modern and unusual'.
The Mackintosh Canteen Project
We were pleased to be invited to construct this modern attractive staircase for the Wildebeest chain of restaurants for the Mackintosh Canteen establishment, in the new Chapelfield Mall in Norwich.
The Bar 38 Project
The complexity of this project, in terms of design and installation, is not immediately apparent, and is hidden by the simplicity of the finished appearance.
The Winchmore Showroom Project
This style of spiral staircase is available in any diameter with a large choice of balustrade designs. The stair is equally suited to both the commercial and domestic environment and may be a left or right handed spiral.
