The Lane End Project
A beautiful modern staircase within a contemporary residence at Bosham, Chichester Harbour. This feature staircase has a gentle curve at its head and appears to be free-standing.
Douglas Fir treads and risers (material by Silvan Floors) gave this staircase a gently weathered appearance. A hand crafted Douglas Fir handrail caps the 15mm glass balustrade. Given it's coastal location, many elements of the property design had been influenced by the close proximity of the sea.
At high tide, water boots were required to access the site. We were told that on occasion, a snorkel would also be necessary!
