Spiral Staircase Projects
The Spiral staircase projects shown below are a good cross section of the type of stair work Demax undertake. These projects vary from elegant wooden banister spiral stairs to contemporary glass and stainless steel spiral staircases. This range shows domestic stairs, commercial stairs and even outdoor spiral staircases
The Flood Street Project
A challenging spiral staircase in a modern Chelsea property. The staircase comprises a traditional style central column, but also has a modern outer string with glass balustrade and a rebated handrail.
The Plantation Project
Our investment in our illustrative and informative web site has certainly paid dividends on a worldwide basis. This project was for a prestigious development in St Lucia in the West Indies.
The Burgh Castle Project
Given the clients brief remit and general material preferences of stainless steel, glass and white oak, we developed this staircase which has proven to be very popular in varying combinations and specifications.
The Furze Hill Project
A stunning eliptical staircase which has off centre radii to create a graceful flared entrance. The stairs have been designed to be totally free standing, structurally proven and effortlessly beautiful.
The Honda Showroom Project
This commercial quality spiral is available in either 2200mm or 2500mm diameter, ascending clockwise and anticlockwise. The treads are recessed to receive inserts such as timber, stone, glass or carpet and a standard non slip nosing. An extensive range of balustrading variations is available, including radiused glass.
The Winchmore Showroom Project
This style of spiral staircase is available in any diameter with a large choice of balustrade designs. The stair is equally suited to both the commercial and domestic environment and may be a left or right handed spiral.
The Modern Project
This Spiral Staircase is available in various diameters and with a choice of solid hardwood or composite treads, stainless steel or powder coated mild steel balustrading and tubular or wood handrail. It can be supplied for self assembly or fitted by our experienced operatives.
The Cambridge Mansions Project
20M high emergency escape staircase serving a central London penthouse. Craned installation was impractical, so we installed an electric hoist to lift the 3M cage panels and centre column which then allowed us to safely install the treads and hand rail before progressing to the next section. The principle of construction offers effective economical security.
The Latasca Project
Demax has completed the decorative cast metalwork for 41 La Tasca Spanish Tapas bars, plus many other pubs and clubs nationwide. Our main assets for completing these projects on time are our own designers and foundry, which gives us the ability to design and produce all the castings to the correct specification on time. Having an extremely flexible and willing workforce operating with a minimum of supervision is another great advantage.
The Barn Conversion Project
This space-saving spiral was installed at a private residence to give access to the loft area. The picture at the bottom shows the stair under construction. Most of the stairs we manufacture are fully constructed in our workshop before installation.
The Guernsey Project
This picture illustrates the 1500mm diameter model from our most popular range of spirals. They are available from 1200mm diameter through to 2500mm diameter, both clockwise and anti-clockwise.
The Twickenham Self Storage Project
An economical, robust and versatile spiral, equally at home in a commercial or domestic situation. It is available in any diameter either as a solid construction or self assembly for confined areas.
The Queensmead Project
An interesting feature staircase rising from ground to third floor. A relatively open brief was given to Demax, to provide a clean, modern staircase. This design cleverly conceals the restricted space in which it is located. Starting with a curved staircase and leading up to two angular staircases, it was essential that the two different shapes blended fluently.
The Morton House Project
This staircase is a perfect example of our design capabilities. Our initial site visits and consultations directly with the Architect and Client outlined a nautical theme and their specification for this staircase.
The Ormonde Place Project
Maximum creativity and design skills were required for this staircase simply because of the limited space available in this London town house.
The Regents Park Road Project
This client wished to upgrade his entire house, including a new staircase to emulate the original early 19th century property. Although plain and simple in detail it has the elegance and simplicity of that period. The Demax steel carcass supports limestone treads and risers and a tradition square balustrade and hand carved hand rail (please note the beautiful lateral carved scroll terminating the hand rail). As an option the stringer could have been painted to match the limestone rather than grey, but that was the client's choice.
