In Design Magazine Feature

Demax are very happy to announce that we have been featured in the August edition of design magazine, In Design. In Design were looking to produce a multipage feature on staircases and their importance within design around the home, Demax supplied a number of images (one of which ws used as the title image) and our founder, Barry Rowe also contributed to the article with his technical knowledge.

Barry was quoted:

‘Staircases are now the most dominant feature in both the domestic and commercial developments, providing the opportunity for creating inspirational designs.

Glass has transformed the entire perception of staircases and balustrades by introducing light, elegance, shape and colour. It is important to remember behind the scene of the pictorial image are the essential technical skills of the specialist Designer / Manufacturer, addressing structural, legal and manufacturing requirements. The golden rule, whatever your staircase or balustrade choice, it can prove disastrous to rely on uncommitted drawings by the uninformed!

Fortunately staircases are one major home feature where traditional and modern designs can be integrated and blended to produce ever ending inspirational concepts.

The unusual is our speciality having built a staircase in the form of a Elephants tusk for a super yacht, a six meter diameter spiral that changes colour for a private house, a unique Solid Bronze balustrade for middle eastern Princess’ Palace, to Victorian cast balustrade for the Seychelles.
